MacRumors has just upped another post about the Wal-Mart and iPhones, first rumored by the Boy Genius Report back in October 2008. They had an actual date of release, which is 15 November 2008. But November came and nothing happened.
According to the new report, it seems that Apple might be reintroducing the 4GB iPhone, to be sold for $99 with a two-year contract, exclusive to Wal-Mart stores.
Now, considering the fact that buyers are not allowed to buy the iPhone without activating it first, Wal-Mart employees have been reportedly undergoing iPhone activation training.
Looking back at the 4GB iPhone model, which was introduced and then dropped a couiple of months later when the 16GB model appeared. Now, why the reintroduction? For $99, it is definitely a best buy for anyone on a budget looking to get their hands on the best-selling phone.
