Yes, our friends over in Redmond has just said “Hello” to all iPhone owners. No, Windows is not coming to the iPhone, bah! But the Live Labs Team are, and they are bringing Seadragon Mobile to the iPhone and iPod touch.
According to a Live Labs blog post, Seadragon Mobile will bring the smooth image browsing from the PC to the mobile platform. And Microsoft has chosen none other than Apple’s popular device to be the first deployment. The app promises to bring super-close-ins on a map or photo with just a few pinches or taps. An entire collection of photos can be browsed from a single screen, thanks to the Photosynth technology in use.
On the PC, Seadragon uses Silverlight, a competitor to Adobe’s famous Flash extension. This will be the first native code iPhone application from Microsoft. Check out Seadragon Mobile from Microsoft via this iTunes link.
Will it top the free apps list?
