Macworld San Francisco 2009 is just about 20 days away, and what more can we do than to spin the rumor mills? The Macworld Expo web site is currently teasing visitors with phrases like:
- Even the Small Talk Will be Big
- You’ll never forget your first time
- Ourspace. Yourface. Makes you all twittery, huh?
What could be the announcement?
Well, all of the above seems to point to nothing but the iPhone nano, a rumor that just got re-heated up again. MacRumors pointed to a posting by iDealsChina that comes complete with information and renderings of what it claims would be the new smaller iPhone, scheduled to be announced during Macworld San Francisco 2009 which begins on January 5, 2009. Also mentioned in the post is that Apple has stopped production of the iPhone 3G, which means that a replacement iPhone (iPhone HD?) is slated. On the music side of things, iDealsChina also pointed to a new iPod shuffle.
What about the App Store? MacRumors mentioned that the new iPhone nano might raise compatibility issues with App Store apps, particularly games, most probably due to the difference in screen size and resolution. Just like how Apple introduced the new Intel Macs, perhaps recompiling the apps and games for the new device would be as simple as changing a few lines of codes?
Like I mentioned earlier, lets spin the rumor mills, hard. After all, part of the fun every year for us Mac fans is speculating what Steve Jobs has to announce during his almight keynote. But what if there’s still pending announcement of a Steve-note?
