AppSniper - Multi Lingua ListingImagine the look on my face when I see the price tag of this application listed within AppSniper’s New Apps page – Multi Lingua by Luna Apps Inc. AppSniper lets you track price drops and new applications that are added to the iTunes App Store. Read my review of this superb application here.

Multi Lingua ScreenshotAnyhow, I went on and checked out the application’s description. It sounds a little vague, but the indication that a network connection is required gives the idea that this is just another translator application using one of the freely available web services, such as Google Translate. The author also claims that the application has a ‘gorgeous’ interface, but did not provide any screenshots other than the one pictured on the right – click to see this ‘gorgeous’ interface in its full glory. Heck, this app was submitted to the app store while its still (probably) buggy – the version number provided is v0.91.

Multi Lingua DescriptionClick here to check out the app in the iTunes Store. I’d suggest that you stay away and refrain from buying, even if you have the cash to spare. There are many other translator apps out there that does more but costs less. Take a look at iTranslate instead – price: $0.00.

UPDATE: The app is now known as Handy Book. Its description has also been changed, with the reference to ‘gorgeous’ interface removed. If you click on the support link from within iTunes, you’ll see a warning about the content of the coming page, with most part of it still a work-in-progress. Gasp!
