Angel Taylor - Make Me BelieveHappy Tuesday, everyone! It’s the best day of the week again, so let’s see what’s in store for us.

This week’s free Single of the Week download is Angel Taylor’s Make Me Believe. You may know Taylor as the one who scored a GRAMMY nomination with gospel-flavored R&B trio Trin-i-tee 5:7. She is now flying solo. Taylor calmly performs Make Me Believe amidst some smooth acoustic guitar and string orchestration. The song mentions about a deadbeat dude who claims that he wants her back. If you like the track, then don’t forget to check out the full album, Love Travels which was released today.

Pocket GodYou know the usual news reports saying that people get bored with their iPhone apps and games, not coming back for a second time, or perhaps a third? Not so with Pocket God by the creative minds at Bolt Creative.

Pocket God - Title ScreenPocket God is more of an open activity application rather than a game – you get to interact with a bunch of cute little pygmies who happen to be stranded on an island (ala Lost minus the hostilities) in a very funny and sometimes mean way. What kind of God will you be? In Pocket God’s case, you’d obviously wanna become a vengeful one.

Apple Store - Fifth AvenueThinking about getting the iPhone 3G? The place you live just happened to be given some love from Apple?

Think again. Maybe twice. Or thrice.

Retail Apple Stores in the US have just begun selling unrestricted quantities of the iPhone 3G at a full, non-subsidized price of $599 for the 8GB version and $699 for the 16GB version, as of this Thursday.

Apple’s partner in the US, AT&T, on the other hand, is planning to sell one phone per customer at the same price for existing customers. Apple’s deal is better in this case, not requiring an existing contract.

iPhone 3G - RetailOn the positive side, customers need not activate their devices from the store, but can be done so once they are home via iTunes. Note however, that the phones are basically still tied to AT&T’s network. But we all know that’s not an issue. Buyers may unlock the phones for use with other service providers – a move not supported by Apple nor AT&T.

We see this policy change by Apple as a move towards clearing off its existing inventory of iPhone 3Gs, in preparation for a coming launch of the new models (including iPod touch) slated for this middle of June – coinciding with the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference event from June 8 – 12, 2009.

Note: I’m calling the new, next-gen iPhone model, simply as iPhone HD, hence the title. Check out some of the other related rumors/postings.

HotFieldComing in hot after reviewing Sky Force Reloaded, here’s another great vertical shooter for you to try out. HotField by developer C2Matrix is no ordinary shooter with splendid 2D/3D graphics effect and an addictive gameplay.

HotField - Title ScreenPreviously, I mentioned about using multi-touch in shooter games so that players do not need to lift their fingers off the screen in order to perform special moves, like shooting the laser. Well, HotField’s developers thinks its a good idea to implement multi-touch for the game. In fact, the game also utilizes double-tapping for another special move taken from movies like The Matrix and appropriately called ‘bullet time’. What this actually does is to slow down your enemies and their bullets. Heck, some of the bullets are shrank as well, making it easier for you to save your bacon out of that sticky spot.

Like living life on the edge? Then try moving your craft near enemy bullets to enhance your own weapon’s firepower as well as gaining some much-wanted laser power. Quoting the developer: it’s dangerous, but addictive!
