Yo! It’s Tuesday, and today happens to be the day where Apple would be announcing features of iPhone OS 3.0. While we wait for the event to begin, why not check out what’s in store for us this week in the freebies department?
Gloriana brings to us this week’s free Single of the Week download, Wild At Heart – a party anthem country song. This four-piece country pop act was formed in Nashville last year and they have been quickly assembling their debut album. The group is made up of brothers Tom and Mike Gossin, Rachel Reinart and America’s Most Talented Kid 2002 winner, Cheyenne Kimball.
Next up is Eli Young Band’s When It Rains, featured as this week’s free Discovery Download. Check out this Texas quartet based around the soulful sounds of Mike Eli and James Young. Like the Eagles, the group successfully put forth a sound that is somewhere between contemporary country pop and the electric-guitar-driven classic rock of the ’70s. This week’s Cancion de la Semana features famed pianist Arthur Hanlon’s Te Quiero Llevar. Arthur Hanlon has spent a sizeable portion of his career devoted to the arrangement and composition of traditional Latin music on piano. Top Gear fans rejoice. Season 12’s Episode 6 of the acclaimed series is available for free from the iTunes Store – this week only. See as Jeremy and James invade the Greenham Common airbase to find out if the Communists ever made a good car. Jeremy conducts an almost ridiculously thorough road test of the new Ford Fiesta, and London mayor Boris Johnson is the “Star In A Reasonably Priced Car”.
