Apple is celebrating! The iTunes App Store is about to hit the history-making number of one billion downloads. In order to thank its customers from around the world, Apple is giving everyone a chance to win a $10,000 iTunes Gift Card, an iPod touch, a Time Capsule, and a MacBook Pro. All this is valued at $13,746.
Entering the contest is easy. Simply hit the iTunes Store, browse the App Store and download any application (paid or free) to qualify – do this from either the iTunes application on a desktop computer or the App Store application on an iPhone or iPod touch. The lucky one who performs the one-billionth app download will win the above prizes. Alternately, participants may opt for the non-purchase method by simply completing an online entry form, available here: www.apple.com/itunes/billion-app-countdown/entryform/. Regardless of the method used, each person may submit up to 25 entries per day.
Note that the promotion is open only to residents of United States (including the District of Columbia), Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
