Flight ControlFlight Control by Firemint is a game that I have yet to cover. Similar to your typical air traffic control game, the game puts you into a virtual air tower, giving you complete control over the air space of Los Angeles’ airport.

Unlike real air traffic control towers, your virtual air tower does not have dials that look like its gonna break and pop some springs. There are also no heading angles, no flight rules and no meteorological reports for you to read and take precaution of. Simply flick your fingers on the incoming aircraft, draw a line for them to follow and sit back. Well, it’s almost that simple as long as the aircrafts don’t crash.

Flight Control features: simple but amazingly engaging gameplay, beautiful graphics and animation, option to play with in-game sound or listen to your iTunes library, four different aircraft – helicopters included, high score and statistics table and last, but not least – the one more go addiction.

Planned updates are coming, including an online high scores table that will be using their proprietary cloudcells.com technology. Another well-requested feature coming soon is the ability to save games, helping you pick up where you left off should you need to pick up a call or do something else with your device. The update will also include new airports to control and new aircraft for you to land.

Check out Flight Control from the iTunes Store, currently the #1 Top Paid App. It’s currently going at a discounted launch price of only, yes, $0.99.
