Hello! It’s Tuesday already. And the excitement of WWDC is still here. But what’s more important than the weekly freebies highlight? Without further ado, let’s hit the iTunes Store now and see what’s on offer.

The Ruse - Beautiful Is GoneThe Ruse’s Beautiful Is Gone is this week’s Single of the Week download. Help the Los Angeles-based group, The Ruse, celebrate its fifth year together by downloading this free sparkling track, “Beautiful Is Gone.” Recalling the grandeur of U2, the song features impassioned vocals and heroically layered guitars over a tightly executed rhythm section of bass guitar and drums. It’s the sound of 1980s earnestness coupled with 21st-century ambition. If you liked what you hear, then check out The Ruse’s third album, Midnight in The City, which is now available at a a discounted price.

The Sippy Cups - Seven Is The New 14Next, check out The Sippy Cups’ Seven is The New 14, this week’s Discovery Download. This is the first-ever children’s music selection. The Sippy Cups hail from the coastal Bay Area town of Montara and combine a modern rock aesthetic with the family music principles of education, kindness, and fun. “Seven Is the New 14” sneaks in some basic numerical concepts and multiplication lessons in a power-pop package that comes complete with groovy keyboards, infectious backing vocals, and even a jazzy instrumental bridge. If you liked what you are getting, then go ahead and check out the full album entitled, The Time Machine.

Pilar Díaz - Tú y YoThis week’s Canción de la Semana free download is Pilar Díaz’s Tú y Yo. With her former band, Los Abandoned, Pilar Díaz was the center of tracks that dipped into new wave party rock and riff-driven power pop. On her own, she’s freer to create something more dizzying. With her ukulele never too far behind her, Díaz makes quirky, mournful pop songs with an ethereal air — and on “Tú y Yo” she adds a solid, uptempo hip-hop beat. Check out the full self-titled album, Pilar Díaz if you liked what you are getting so far.

Rise Against - Hero of WarFinally, check out Rise Against’s Hero of War, the free Music Video of the Week download for this week. A great song, coupled with a great music video that portrays the horrible decisions a soldier has to make, as well as the horribles of war. Check out the album, Appeal to Reason to download this featured song. As usual, here’s the 30-seconds preview, hosted by our YouTube Channel.

Closing notes: As usual, the freebies mentioned here are sourced from the US iTunes Store and may not be available in iTunes Stores of other countries. Our featured article, How To: Create a US iTunes Store Account is available if you wish to know the steps required to setup a US iTunes Store account.

Go ahead and grab these free downloads as soon as you can. They are always free for about a week or so before returning to their usual selling prices. Remember: don’t just add them into your shopping cart. Make sure you check out! Hit this FREE ON iTunes page to check out the other free downloads that are not highlighted here!
